Society and Female Sexuality

Are you having sex? Or are you just watching TV talk shows and women's magazines give out advice about sex? Are you wondering why you and everyone you know are going through a sexual slump?

Don't blame yourself or the men around. Things have changed so quickly that people haven't really adjusted to their roles in this society. Let's dig a little to see what the problem is and how we can change the equation.

Women have always worked. When we were basically a farming society, women did their share of farm work. It was a physically demanding time, BUT we got plenty of fresh air and foods that weren't coated with pesticides. Our families tended to be a bigger size and everyone pulled their weight. Don't get me wrong, I'm too fond of good medical care and indoor plumbing to think pioneer society was a utopia. But environmentally, it was a better age.

In the 1950's and early 60's, it was the age of TV and the "little homemaker." We had appliances and modern conveniences, so we could spend less time cooking and cleaning and more time being an accessory to our husbands. Out with physical labor, in with martinis. And weight gain. You can actually see the start of American obesity in this era.

By the mid-1960's, women were fed up with the image of "only a wife" or "only a mother." Women wanted to be recognized as individuals. They wanted to work, and they wanted to get paid the same wage as a man for doing the same job. It took almost fifty years before this became a reality.

However, women didn't get out of having to do the work that their "traditional" roles as wives and mothers dictated. So, we still do the majority of the cooking and cleaning, in addition to working full-time.

And then we hit the information and technology age. Information is coming at us faster than we can process it, through movies, TV, and women's magazines. Sex became a hot topic again, men got viagra and women everywhere got the sense that something was - WRONG. We were surrounding by information about sex, great sex, but how many of us were experiencing it? Well, enough of us weren't, that it became issue.

This is why natural female sexual enhancers are slowly coming to everyone’s attention. FOX News did a piece on Provestra and Vigorelle. HerSolution has been featured on The Doctors. While it's not quite the exposure that Good Morning America could bring to the fold, it's a beginning.

Women are learning that they can improve their sexual responses and actually fix some of the problems women face because of hormonal imbalances.

Don't let society dictate your sex drive - far too many women, for far too long, have already done that. Knowledge is King. Ask the hard questions and find out what you need to know that will help your body thrive and give you the sexual fulfillment you DESERVE.
